US official: The coalition has successfully spoken with China on the sanctions against Russia.

According to a senior source in the US Treasury Department, the coalition of nations that sanctioned Russia for its invasion of Ukraine has successfully spoken with China to stop giving Moscow material assistance.

The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, was cited by the news agency Reuters as saying that although China and Russia have shown signs of an open partnership, the US has not believed Beijing to be willing to offer Russia the kind of material support at a scale that would be significant in this case.

The US considers taking legal action against Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab, according to the Wall Street Journal.
