According to the Israeli military, soldiers were obstructing local roads and looking for the assailants.

The Israeli military reports that a gun incident in the occupied West Bank resulted in the deaths of two Israeli girls and injuries to their mother.

They were in a vehicle that was fired at and then wrecked close to the Hamra Interchange in the Jordan Valley’s northern region.

The girls, who were in their 20s, and their 48-year-old mother resided there and were immigrants from the UK, according to the mayor of the community of Efrat.

Authorities in Israel or Britain did not immediately confirm the incident.

According to the Israeli military, its troops were obstructing local roadways and had “initiated a chase of the terrorists.”

A few hours before the incident, Israeli airplanes attacked Gaza and southern Lebanon with airstrikes.

The military said that the actions were in response to the worst rocket strike on Israel fired from Lebanon in 17 years, which it attributed to the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.

The Israeli police raids at the Al-Aqsa mosque in occupied East Jerusalem over two nights sparked resentment in the neighborhood and were followed by the rocket bombardment.

The Jordan Valley incident on Friday, according to the Israeli military, started as an accident between an Israeli and a Palestinian vehicle. But, when the soldiers arrived, they discovered several gunshot holes in the Israeli car and realized it was an assault.

According to the Israeli national channel Kan, 22 bullet casings from what seemed to be a Kalashnikov assault weapon were discovered.

An emergency room volunteer with the United Hatzalah Ambulance service said that when he arrived on the site, he saw the three victims in a serious state.

Along with other emergency personnel, I tried to save the lives of the wounded, stated Oded Shabbat. “One wounded individual was flown by chopper to the hospital for further treatment.”

The three ladies were a mother and her two children who resided in the West Bank community south of Jerusalem, according to a Facebook post by the Efrat Local Council. It also said that it was not yet legal to reveal their identities.

The family, who were immigrants from the UK and were originally from London, were on their way to Tiberius, a town near the Sea of Galilee, for a vacation when the incident occurred, according to Oded Revivi, the mayor of Efrat.

Moreover, Mr. Revivi was quoted by Israeli media as stating that the girl’s father was in another vehicle ahead of them when theirs was assaulted. He allegedly went back and arrived at the scene where paramedics were attending to his wife and kids.

The commander of the Israeli military’s Central Command, which is in charge of the West Bank, referred to the incident as a “very grave terrorist act” and assured the public that his men will track down the perpetrators.

“We are bolstering troops across all spheres. Although we were unable to stop this assault, we will do all in our power to stop any future attacks “Said Maj-Gen Yehuda Fuchs.
